VDDC reading on GPU-Z

Thread Starter
What's the VDDC reading on GPU-Z? Is it the voltage on the core?

Yes. Also, on the sensors screen, gpu 2 and 3 are the vrm temps I think.

Yes. To my knowledge though it is not accurate.

I'm rather confused on this as well.

I have the Asus EAH5850 DirectCU (Non Top) edition. My bios is supposed to have a stock voltage of 1.118.

However when the 3d profile kicks in at 725/1000 without adjusting the voltage for the card gpu z and afterburner both read the voltage to be 1.168?

So far as im aware, its the Core volts, and the other is the amps passing through it, and i think its decently accurate, as HWmonitor reports the same voltage.

What do you mean "the other"?

According to w1zzard at TPU the creator of gpu-z the gpu temps 1,2,3 are all cope temps from different parts of the core. He stated that he didnt know which parts but they were assuredly core temps and not vrm temps.

When I get home I'll yet to find the thread that he states this and post a link.

I found the link

If you don't feel like traveling to the thread W1zzard specifically states for an HD6950 however he has stated in other places for previous generations that they are all on the GPU die.

"i dont have any reliable info on the actual placement of these sensors other than they are located on the gpu silicon die.

previous generations had them at display io, mem io, shader core

again, these sensors are definitely not VRM, memory, PCB or MOSFET temperatures"
