Just because your card is brand new, does not mean it is not defective. Statistically speaking, it is more possible that your card is defective being brand new, than one that is much older.

If its only isolated to one map in Vietnam, and your certain that its a DX11 issue/ Driver issue. Try running in DX10 mode and see if it disappears. Also make sure you have the latest drivers, and that you installed them cleanly with the use of Driversweeper.

Another method to help determine if it is a hardware related fault is to run Furmark, there is a stress test setting that will show artifacts if something is wrong.

Another possibility, if it in fact is not related to that specific game, is that you flashed your card to a 6970. It may not be running stable. Not all cards can be unlocked and run 100% stable at stock voltage and core frequency.

It could be game related like you said, but you need to diagnose the problem first. Without testing your hardware for stability you can't be sure that its stable.

If you can run Furmark for more than a half hour with no artifacts, driver failures, freezing or restarting, then you should be good to go. Generally people run Furmark for much much longer though.
