gtx 570 or hd 6970, for 2 1080p monitors

Thread Starter
i was just wondering which card would do better with a dual moniter setup, is the 1280mb of video ram enough to handle it or would the 2gb that the 6970 be better for the price?

Definitely the 6970 2GB. It's better than the GTX570 for sure @ higher resolution.

You'll have to go with SLI if you want to game on multiple monitors with an NVidia setup... so that kind of narrows your options.

it can do two monitors on one card, you need sli for three plus monitors.

I surely hope your not gaming on 2 monitors. At least not FPS lol

Although I dislike amd, it seems the better option for 1200 and up

6970 will be better at the high end AA on and allows expansion into a third panel as well.

You won't regret it.

Yea you can do 2 monitors on 1 card but as i said the 6970 2GB is a much better choice than the GTX570. Also the GTX570 tends to have known problems, on the other hand the 6970 is a solid card.

Oh, I assumed he was talking surround. You don't see many people gaming on 2 monitors...

Anyway, the 6950's extra vram will still help.

One of the best. I would go for it if you have the extra money.
