Yea, I was thinkin that 900 was too small. The next step up, he could go with the 1200. More air to move around inside that case the better.

But would I be able to fit 4 cards? The 1200 only has 7 expansion slots for some stupid reason... -_-

I would go open rig no doubt, Look for a bench rig like posted previously. With 4 gpu's @ 100% 24/7 its going to be roasted nuts in the case.

Tech bench, it's what I use.

Now many houses have crap wiring like mine where I only see ~110 Volt at 15amp still gives me 1650watts.
Does this limit apply per socket, per outlet or for the entire household?

Yea, I thought about that today and said "wait, that won't work." Still think it needs to be a bigger case. It needs to fit and extended ATX board. And technically 9 slots. The first top slot would not be used because the card offsets to one side. Not sure what extended cases there is out there.

Hmmmm... well the board that I selected is just a regular ATX (and can fit 4 cards), but yeah, I may need a big case with 9+ slots.

9 slots is basically the minimum for dual slot cards in a closed case. 11 would be ideal but it costs way too much.

The HAF X has 9, isn't too pricey. The cheapest is probably the Rosewill Thor (10 slots), though I've heard some complaints about it. Unless you're WCing though, 4 cards squeezed together with no spacing is going to be crazy ass hot, to the point where I would imagine that they'd start to thermally throttle each other, or just outright crash.
