Best 90~120GB SSD? - Page 2

I just bought a TB WD black caviar HDD, I also just got $800 back from income taxes, would you guys recommmend me returing my HDD and buying the vertex 3? Is getting an SSD really one of the best upgrades you can do?

hmmm.. true, well maybe ill invest in a c400 although sata drives if i can get it a bit closer to $200 in the future will be cheaper prob faster, its just something i can add to the collection

Ive had a SSD since the vertex came out and i kinda cant imagine a computer with out one (like people said once you get one you really dont want to go back). If you can justify spending the money (up to $2-300) i would definately recommend you pick up a ssd. Ive had a vertex 60gb, vertex2 60gb and a c300 all be fantastic

But if you get a small SSD keep the black for files and use a SSD as a boot drive for the operating system

All of them are pretty good but I did a lot of research in the past and the general consensus was crucial and Intel are the best... a lot of that came from reading user reviews on sale sites. people raved the crucials were worth the little extra. But your corsair's and ocz's are just fine too.

personally I wouldn't touch anything else unless it was a htpc or something.

hah yeah, ive only heard bad things about corsairs extreme series (i guess they fail after a few months sometimes) but seems that vertex and the c series are very popular. but im still not sure im on the fence between a c400, corsair force, and a kingston ssdnow..

c400 would be more future ready but im not sure if we are going to keep the laptop or give it to our parents.

the corsair seemed to have more balanced performance, and the GF is a corsair fangirl

and the kingston ssd now is the cheapest at $150 ($165 shipped amir)

decisions @_@ but i got until the 22nd to decide, but this thread gave more solid ideas on what i should buy.. but still not sure! gahhh
