have had my 580 since the beginning of the year and have had no problems with it. Plays everything quite nicely , although i will be getting a second one in the fall to run everything with maxed AA .

On benchmark tests the Sapphire ATI 5830 Xtreme in crossfire equals about the power of one beastly gtx 580. I got 2 for $180 to replace a gtx 460. I basically saved $320. But if you see performace start to slip in maybe a year or so with a beastly psi you could sli them which that is quite the investment.

never wait for computer parts...

buy a good 580 OC it and enjoy it's performance benefits. Think about the 600 series when the 600 series gets reviewed.

remember Fermi? Bulldozer? you can never be sure with these things.
