You mean you try to log on to your EA account and a get a connection error here?
If so, don't bother with "remember my password", just re-enter it when you try to log on. For some reason, lately, mine doesn't seem to "remember" the password properly and I keep having to re-enter it manually.

Same here. It worked fine for a while, but recently it remembers the wrong password and I've gotta enter it in every time.

BlackOmega, you clearly have no idea what's been going on...

For the past month many users have been experiencing soft/hard crashes. No, it's not because of an unstable overclock so that is not to blame. It's not because of drivers either. The game worked fine for everyone else before last month, and after the Update on the 9th of last month it began crashing for a big number of users. I myself and amongst those users. I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling Punkbuster, updating/rolling back drivers, even tried installing the game on a difference W7 machine, with the same issues. Honestly, it's pretty ignorant to just put the blame on something like an unstable overclock and saying "all of these users have an unstable overclock" and "we would all be having an issue if the game was at fault" without being aware of the issue present. The game IS at fault (more specifically, Punkbuster). Some users have repoted they have fixed the issue, some haven't.

I don't know what bit rate my is running but whenever I'm about to play BFBC2, I switch from "PCM 192 kHz" to "PCM 48 kHz". Since I started doing this, I no longer experience any crashing of any kind. If would seem then that BFBC2 has a big problem with higher audio sample rates, perhaps restricted only to "War Tapes" mode but maybe not. It's certainly the game's fault, though.
I've done that myself and it still hasn't fixed it. Sigh..

My main problem is that, even on Eyefinity (5760x1080) at 70-140 fps the game has this hard to describe lagginess/choppiness after about 10 minutes of playing. I've tried multiple settings.ini files and HBAO/AA/etc configurations but it still persists. I have no virus scanners or anything intensive running the background and all my services are tweaked, etc

I had constant crashes until I forced it to run in DX11. When it is set to "auto" it crashes left and right.

Just tried that, didn't seem to change anything for me.

So long as Trixx is open it just keeps on crashing.

Not exactly what I meant, but I have been having that problem so thanks. I fixed the problem though, for some reason I guess the game didnt agree with my routers port forwarding, so I disabled it and its all good.

Evilnok has a good point, if this truly was an issue with PB then wouldn't we all have the same problem?

While I may have been somewhat out of the loop with this, I've been playing BC2 for quite a while with absolutely no issues.

Sorry for being so "bad OC" about stuff, but you have no idea how many times I have read, "oh just run 50 passes of IBT and your rig is stable" (mainly on intel machines). That is so far from the truth. While that may work for LGA 775, I don't think it applies to the i series with the onboard memory controller. Just like with AMD's, it is a must to thoroughly test your memory. And that just takes time.

Regardless, have you tried running just one GPU? Using onboard audio instead of your Xonar? Have the latest chipset drivers for your board? What do you have running in the background? Try disabling any of those things?

Yes to all of those questions.

The problem is a direct conflict between Punkbuster and GPU monitoring utilities like GPU-Z, Afterburner, Trixx, etc. Closing these GPU utilies makes the game run without crashes, but what bugs me is that it isn't a solution--it's a workaround. In addition to that, a lot of users report that after installing the most recent Punkbuster update, they are able to run the game without crashing, and with Afterburner open as well. I installed the latest update and I'm still having problems. Meh

Oh also I have no idea why it happens to some users but not others.
