Living up to the hype requires a person being sucked into it.
Fans of BF2 and BC2 will enjoy BF3 with no hype needed.

Hype is for those that don't believe the game will be good, so it's used to convince them otherwise.
It's hard to convince people a game will be good if they have doubts about it from the beginning.

That sentence stated fact, not opinion. Use the words "may, probably or I think...".
I wonder what type of games you play, probably many of them I wouldn't take a second look at.

Yeah, perhaps I should reword. I didn't mean it's going to be untouchably bad, I just don't think it's going to live up to the Battlefield name.
you do realize that the team working on battlefield 3 is probably 10x the size of the original, if not more.

bc2 is all visual no gameplay????????????????? wierd cause i experienced a ton of gameplay on ever changing maps requiring me to adjust my tactics to the ever changing battlefield.

BF2 and BC2 are entirely different games. with different focuses. Battlefield 3 is not bad company 2, notice the name change. Each excels at different.

I just fail to see your reasoning that bf3 will be bc3? What has DICE ever done to make you think they dont care about their games?

This, BC2 is a phenomenal as far as experience goes. Frostbite ensures that. With Frostbite 2.0, it's going to be much more immersive.

Just because they want to actually leverage the hardware that's out there today, doesn't mean it's a graphics-only game. Hell, if Crytek took the time and care to make a game that not only had the visuals but gameplay, everyone would be all over it. Now that's it's Dice, people are crying.

Dice has taken several other departments (including the one that worked on Mirror's Edge) to work on BF3, there is no reason to doubt the game.

My point exactly. BC isn't BF, but it's looking like it is so far.

I never said they didn't care about their games, I just said they're focused towards a different audience. Although now you mention it the only thing they seem to care about is how much better this game is than CoD.

How can it be a fact if there's no proof? You don't have to use the words "may", "probably" or "I think" to indicate an opinion.

He may sound like the marketing team but he's actually right. You pretty much just countered an argument by saying "lol"

After all they've said, shown and talked about you're still thinking that they're still catering towards the CoD and console crowd? Yeah well, umm besides the fact that this thing is coming out on console I can't find anything to complain about.

What more could you still want with this game that isn't completely unreasonable?

Co-op was mentioned quite a while ago, it has been on there feature list basically since the start. The problem is we don't know what type of Co-op, since they won't release any MP details yet. I hope it is just like BF2's co-op though.
