Build a cloud? Well first you start with some water vapor ...
Communications between 2 computers over the internet isn't building a "cloud."
A few questions:
1. Do you plan on leaving your computer on for 2 months?
2. How much data do you plan on transfering?
3. How fast are your upload speeds? (Internet package)
4. Do you want other people to also access the files or just you?
There are many software applications / plug computers that are design to make a "personal cloud". Ex. http://www.pogoplug.com/
IMO these are not actually clouds. However, for personal use they serve their purpose.Edited by AtomicFrost - 5/9/11 at 7:21am
