thats just stupid...

Anti-vibration - SSD has no moving parts and therefore needs no vibration protection

your putting something in a box that restricts airflow, even though it has vents its going to stop air movement

whats wrong with a bracket like OCZ provides with their SSDs?

But none of the above options allow you to put your 2.5" SSD in a 3.5" hot swap caddy.

I'd go with the cheaper version - they're probably identical or as near as matters anyway, and if the one you get doesn't work RMA it and they'll probably send you the other one if there is any major changes they made to the design anyway.

Besides the price, the difference are:-

Introducing the ICY DOCK MB882SP-1S-2B: another milestone in the 2.5†SSD product line. Through manufacturing efficiency, the original MB882SP-1S-1B is redesigned without any sacrifice to the standard of high quality products. The new version is lighter weight for simplicity and cost efficiency. It is very convenient for gamers and power users who expect SSD speed on their home/ office computers. Some other new elements to the converter are viewing slots placed over the SATA connection, allowing you to verify your HDD or SSD has made a secure connection. This also functions as an extra set of airflow vents for extra cooling with your SSD or HDD. Overall, a lightweight and simplistic design that is perfect for power users, gamers, and average computer users for use in your desktops, media centers, and home servers.
In addition, I notice version 1 has the 'flip over' cover while version 2 has the 'complete slide off' cover. See the 2 pics below.

Anti-Vibration - in case you might want to use spinning 2.5 HD
Nothing is wrong with OCZ, I got same brackets with intel SSD, but you can mount them in hot swap bays
