What else will be in your setup? depending on your gpu and extras that may not be enough.
this, A good psu will make or break your system. it's not an area to skimp and save money on unless there's a decent unit for less, which you aren't looking at. I can't believe you would trust a junk 300w to your 2600k rig

get a cheap case like that so you have room for PSU that wont die

Its not a money issue. Its just that I already have a case and wanted to re-use it. Thats why I asked for either a good psu or other ideas. I never used junk psu's in any of my rigs. Just look at my sig rig. Please read the entire post before making comments.

I think yumyum's post was more directed at the moron who recommended the Diablotek PSU, not at you. That means he had actually read the bulk of the thread prior to posting.

By the way that's with a gts 450 just for the display at idle and nothing else in the system, not even fans. The math don't lie.
A Kill-a-watt isn't really "solid" proof of anything, they can be inaccurate especially at low loads. Besides, your CPU isn't the only thing drawing power from the rig.

Edit: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4083/t...2100-tested/21

That can give a rough idea what the power scaling is like with SB, although only a max of 4.4Ghz is tested.

If you're referring to the FSP as a "junk 300w", then you're wrong.
