[TFTC] Dell to Release UltraSharp Replacements - U2412HM, U2312HM and U2212HM - Page 5

No higher pixel density?

This makes me sad. In fact, the 24" is a step in the wrong direction .

No reason to get a new monitor, especially a bigger one when there aren't any with smaller dot pitch. My laptop's screen is 14" at 1440x900, my desktop's screen is 22" at 1680x1050. Why would I want 24" at 1920x1080? .
(Yes, I know there are other factors like color/contrast. Not worth it for me based on those alone.)

I was hoping the next generation of dell IPS monitors would be HIGHER resolution than the U2410 . Oh well, one less thing to buy. My wallet thanks you Dell .

No real improvements have been made since I got my WFP2407, although the only thing that I'd like to see is higher resolutions. It is still a fantastic monitor, I never noticed how mediocre normal monitors were before I splurged on this baby. I always notice how it is impossible to display a gradient properly and that all of my favorite webpages appear as a slightly different color on most monitors. It is always worth buying a high quality LCD because it will last for years and it wont become outdated quickly like the parts you spend thousands of dollars on inside your computer haha...

dell have 120 hz yet?
Who said that LED retros were crap? If Dell uses them in their cutting edge UltraSharp series, they aren't gonna be so bad, right?

At least I find my screen colors much more accurate than an equivalent CCFL TN screen (whiter whites, deeper blacks, more uniform lighting...)

In four years I'll take a look to what Dell has to offer.

I'm hoping that these drop within the next month so I can get my hands on a cheap U2311H. It'd be awesome if the price dropped to $250 or lower.
