HTPC Help

I have my sig rig upstairs in one of my bedrooms but would like to set up a fairly high end HTPC for my 46" (1080p) Sony Bravia in my living room. I have the following components that I bought a few months back but didn't use in my sig rig.

Two HIS 5830s, a Corsair H50 cpu cooler, wireless Logitech keyboard/mouse and an 5.25 internal BlueRay drive . The HTPC will be used for surfing the web and gaming (current games set @ very high graphic levels).

I haven't decided whether to go X58 or SB (opinions appreciated). I know most will probably advise SB is the way to go, but should I wait for socket 2011? I don't know when the 2011 socket will be coming out, so that's why I ask. Also, my current X58 setup has been flawless, so I'm considering buying an i7 950. As you can see, I'm all over the place

Most importantly, I'm not sure what kind of case I should purchase that can accomodate an H50 and two 5830s. I prefer the case to have a remote control. Budget is approximately $1000 (mobo, cpu, psu, ram, htpc case, and possibly a discrete sound card)

Opinions and advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

Q3'11, iirc, although I'd bet we'd be seeing it soon after Bulldozer. Given you already have the HD 5830's on hand, your budget can certainly handle LGA-2011. Personally, though, going high-end just isn't worth it for me. If you do decide to wait, you might want to use LGA-2011 for your primary rig/gaming machine and move the i7-930 to HTPC duties.

I did think about moving the UD3R MoBo and i7 930 into the HTPC and upgrade my main rig to the LGA-2011. If you're right with the release of intel's socket 2011, then I will wait.

My most important question is which HTPC case? I've seen some on Newegg that go for $400 - $500. These HTPC cases are beautiful and will most definitely handle an ATX board however I don't want to spend that kind of money on an HTPC case. I was thinking of a case that can accomodate a full size ATX board and an H50 for around $250. Any suggestions?

I kinda like this one for full ATX. And it's not a bad price.
