Yes indeed ,you should go for another vendor to be able to mod and play with the BIOS ,as some don t have the proper hardware.

Your card most definitely have voltage regulators that are not recognized by other BIOS.

I have a non-ref XFX 5770 and that is my problem too. I did a lot of research on overvolting with no success.

It's the APW7088 voltage controller that is not supported.

But i saw online that new xfx cards are coming with stock voltage 1.2 and its good for overclock. V1.2 cards can overclock upto 1100/1450 i think. You should try BIOS update or email XFX. I saw one XFX BIOS on techpowerup BIOS collection site. Its stock voltage is 1.2. See this http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/6...24.091204.html Try flashing with this BIOS.

You try my trick as we both have same voltage problem. Reinstall catalyst and don't unlock or enable ATI Overdrive. Just install Sapphire Trixx and overclock with it. I overclocked my 5770 today this way to 1000/1250 at 1.125 stock voltage. And I observed sudden performance change in games. You once try my trick please and observe. I strongly recommend this for you and all those who are stuck at 1.125 voltage. I checked in GPU-Z that setting clocks at 1000/1250 took G.Pixel to exact 16.0, G.Texel to exact 40.0, Memory Bandwith to exact 80 GB/s. I am surprised with the increase in performance.

Have you tried using afterburner? v2.1.0?? there is a new way to activate the voltage control. there is a line of text you have to enter where you used to just change 0 to 1.

UnofficialOverclockingEULA= I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it

It works with my XFX HD-577A-ZNFC with the brick style cooler

I tried Afterburner 2.1.0 and voltage is still locked even after editing .cfg file and selecting Unlock Voltage in settings. I am using Trixx and its stable at 1000/1250 at 1.125.

Thats still a decent overclock, what temps you getting?

I would just pencil mod it, RBE always messed up when editing voltages for me.
