Decide between GTX 460 vs GTX 460 SSC

Hi OC experts

I try to decide between those 2 cards:

GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130570
GTX 460 (Fermi) SSC 1GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130596

I read the posts and it seemsyou can OC the GTX 460 easily and change core clock, shader clock and effective memory clock to match with what SSC version has. (by changing few bars from the software)

My question is:
1. Can i buy the GTX 460 and OC core clock, shader clock, and effective memory clock to match with GTX 460 SSC performance? Or i need to flash GPU's bios? The only reason i can talk myself to buy GTX 460 SSC is GTX 460 SSC has a better fan.

Am I wrong or i miss anything?

Thanks for the help.

Also, does the GPU go back to default setting after PC reboot?

Yes. Unless you save your overclock profile and check the apply at system startup box in Afterburner or whatever your using to OC.

Your on the right track by thinking of getting the regular 460 and overclocking to SSC clocks.
Bios flash is overkill, not needed.

Just overclock.

Thank for the replies

Another questions:

1. Any good OC software you can recommend?
2. Do i have to get a better fan if OC the card or the default factory fan is good enough?

MSI AfterBurner is the best overclocking software out right now in my opinion.
