idk about your moniter but mine has hdmi input and built in speakers so its as easy as hooking up my hdmi cord....

if you have the xbox S you can plug in optical audio to your pc and play it though your speakers and then use HDMI to DVI and plug it into your monitor.

as far as what people are saying about the VGA connector its great, I'v compaired the VGA quality to HDMI->DVI quality and they look the same, also with the VGA audio is much easier to setup. Did I mention I use this?
