Is socket 1366 mobos still king of the Intel boards?

I'm sorry for asking a noob question because I went to a one year hibernation. Didn't logged in at OCN at that time so I missed a lot of computer news. I've only begun coming here since since half of last month.

No, not really.

The architecture itself is probably better. Triple channel RAM, faster PCI-E lanes, etc.

But 1155 has newer, faster chips.
