I can make a long post saying otherwise but it's simpler to say "you're wrong". Both marketplaces are pretty much at the same point now and for tablets iOS is way further ahead.

In the US it is for AT&T at least, they're likely trying to clear the last ones out while they can still get money for them.

3GS has to be the best price/performance phone on the market. No way I could give up the screen on my iPhone 4 though. It's just too damn sweet!

As for it's durability, I've had it since launch without a case. I keep it in my pocket. I'm a civil engineer who works in the field and am constantly banging it around.

There is one tiny scratch on the back where I went out drinking one night and left my keys in my pocket all night. 1 tiny scratch....this thing is awesome.

Why is this news? Watered down mainstream devices always outsell the top shelf enthusiast brands.

Can you get netflix, instagram, crackle, and cut the rope for android now? vimeo and imovie?

Microsoft's Photosynth app is amazing!

I would be shocked if android had 1/6th of the great music apps that ios has. Multitrack recorders with hardware support for guitars, line in, pro quality mics. Multitasking that lets you sync separate apps with midi clock! An app like bebot was around for ios years before ported to android.*

*actually it was never ported apparently absolutely android has reviews for iphone apps.

I suspect its like this thoroughout the small screen app world, most niches will be and are better covered by ios...

Once you get into tablets... with all the magazine publishers seemingly appreciating the ability to actually publish and get paid on the ios.. it seems all the paid content will be for ipad. conde nast, ny times, spin, rolling stone etc.
