Searched and now ready to buy but need guidance

Well like the title says I've been researching all I can about these water cooling kits.

More specifically the XSPC RS240 kit.

I say the RS240 because that is the only one that will fit in my 600T case without modification.

I plan to cool my CPU which is a i7 970 and my 5970 GPU.

I know the 240 cannot handle both so I am trying to figure out what radiator would be best to add into the loop along with the rs240.

I was thinking of adding a RX120 radiator in the back of the case with a push pull fan setup, im hoping that the 120 in addition to the 240 will be enough cooling capacity.

If needed I could add ANOTHER rx120 in the front of the case as well but I am hoping to get away with only one.

I have the card overclocked a little bit and have a pretty aggressive cooling fan profile in afterburner (temps rarely go above 70*C in game) but the fan is making enough noise to be heard over my headphones which i find very distracting, so I am hoping a nice cool loop will keep things quiet.

Please feel free to give suggestions of what you think will be the most optimum setup

Thank you all!

The additional RX120 will cool approximately 175W with 1500rpm fans. The RS240 is enough for just the cpu so if you add in the RX120 you will fall a little short of decent performance (10C delta), so I would definitely suggest another RX120.

The other part is that if you want silence then adding in the extra 120 will do nothing but help you in that regard because it will allow you to run your fans at lower rpms.

Hope that helps.

He did a great job of rounding up some good builds in the 600T.
Kinru had great advice regarding your volume level. You have to decide which is more important, temps or volume. You likely can have both, because there are people on each extreme, some who want to fly to 6ghz, and those who want SILENCE from their PCs. Most of us are in between. You should be able to get good fans on an RX120 that'll increase performance without adding too much noise (GT ap-15 if you can only fit 25mm, Panaflo medium speed if you can fit 38mm).

You can mount a Phobya 200mm rad it the front of the case.
That should be plenty with a RX120 + RS240 + 200mm.

Little update

Decided to keep the 5970 at stock clocks

Would I be able to cool the 970 and 5970 with the rs240 kit and a rx120 radiator?

Thanks for all the help so far

Just need a little reassurance before I spend the money

You could, but you would get better temps with that 20mm rad...
