i have the ips226v and have excessive ag coating cause eyestrain and headhit.
better colors in games, pictures and film yes, contrast very good but have backlight bleeding and for me is not a all around monitor.

LG for life ? well well another fanboy
LG is generally an cheaper brand, the point of force of LG is the price / quality.

LG produces quite good screens actually, and if I'm not mistaken they are used in Dell's Ultrasharp monitors.

LG product all IPS panel used in Dell, NEC, ASUS, HP and Eizo and TN.
In IPS sector is another segment because have not competitors, it's a monopoly.

In the TN segment instead the situation is different, LG provides his panel to all brands but when LG produce an his complete product ( LG panel and brand ) use a price / quality policy.
often u can find a ridicolous factory setting and limitated menù OSD, sometimes there's a poor elettronic behind the panels in his products.

Dell ultrasharp use LG panel but the ultrasharp series is much better than LG IPS series.
the same thing for NEC, HP, Asus and Eizo, all other brands that use a LG ips pane is bettere than LGself.

LITTLE NOTE : LG in IPS and TN panel have a bad abitune to use a most granular coating than his conpetitors.
