Proper way to update ATI drivers?

Thread Starter
I've been doing the following... add/remove prgrams.. use AMD app to uninstall everything that is ATI then i use driver sweaper and reboot.

I've been told not to use driver sweaper anymore as it messes up the registry.

The reason i've been asking is that ive been having lots of BSOD lately related to video and im about to update to 11.5

Well that's the way AMD recommends...stick with it.

I usually do the driver sweeper method. But this last time i forgot and installed 11.4 over the top. I havent run into problems yet

Hi angeluszero. I'd echo what ^ he said and use a driver sweeper to remove all currently installed display drivers, then do a fresh install of the driver you have. Good way to ensure there'll be no conflicts.
