Silver arrow compatible with Ripjaws X?

Ok I have G.skill Ripjaws X and i am still trying to find the best heatsink/Cpu fan for my haf-x system believe me is no easy task...

Right now i was looking at Megahalem, Noctua14 and Silver arrow
and liked the pipes

But then i go and find that the clearence on Silver arrow for G.skill Ripjaws X is very tight.....
Not sure about my system HAF-X will do?

2 rams 2x4gb thats all slot i will use anyway
will it still be a problem with Silver arrow?

only solution i see is move the fan to the back but that will probaly go to close to the rear fan (althrough the rear fan is more to the left and only 120mm)

So whos king of heatsink right now
Noctua, megahalem or silver arrow?

i know it depend what you like but surely there must be a nr.1 out there as of 2011?

Yes, I have the ripjaws/SA and they work together just fine. The only thing that may be an issue in the height of the SA and your fan on the side of your case. I'll look into it.

For heatsinks: Silverarrow>=Noctua>Mega

For your Haf X: Maximum CPU cooler height:190.0mm(This could be with the fan out i'm not sure)

Silver Arrow Fan dimensions: Length 160mm x Width 25mm x Height 140mm

Ok good but what about this photo i found:

or will this not happen with my haf-x
one of the fan of Silver arrow is very close to the ripjaws X
Why is noctua better than megahalem?
(i know megahalem was release earlier)

anyway in your opinion where would you place Zalman 9900 Max and thermaltake SpinQ Vt in:
Silverarrow>=Noctua>Mega ?

Memory with tall heat spreaders is an issue for the SA. Find a compatibility list first. You can always switch the rear fan to intake and push/push into it so you don't have a fan RAM-side. This really has nothing to do with your case at all.

Because it is? I'm not sure how you want this answered. Are you looking for precise fin density measurements of the sink or something?

When they are released doesn't really matter, either. You can always look up reviews and temp benchmarks.

where can i find a compatbility list?
so if it has nothing to do with my case
i might not have the same problem as on the photo
and the SA might not toouch the mem?

AS for what fan is best i know everyone have their preference
just looking for a good fan that will cool the case and Gtx580 and asrock fatal1ty p67 mobo good enough
and yea one that look cool and is not too noisy
is the SpinQ Vt realy that noisy?

Ripjaws look fine. It's tight, but you can just position the fan a little higher on the sink on that side, no biggie.

The case doesn't matter because you're not concerned with vertical clearance. We already know the HAF X would dwarf the SA, no problem. You're concerned with the heatspreaders on your memory being to high to have a fan on the right-outside. That issue really doesn't have anything to do with the case, and everything to do with your memory/mobo.

Ok Plex thanks for clearing that up
Now since be occupying 2 ram slots 2x4gb
i can just move the RAM to the other two RAM slots and install the cooler
and have no problem at all?

if that so maybe i get the silver arrow
Right now i am between silver arrow vs megahalem

I have been recomended megahalem for my use and is smaler so i will need to find something that convince me which to get

so far in favour of SA is better cooling but against it is its size
favour of megahalem is smaler size and against it cooling not so good as SA but still fine

But you know even if say Noctua or SA is nr.1 right now
it doesnt mean that some months after i build my pc another fan comes that is even better
so it realy comes down to this which one perform best in my pc and which i like best and feel safest with, and one that last long.

Need to find out of megahalem and Silver arrow if they both have PWM but i think they have
since my spinQ Vt dont have PWM
is realy better with PWM since i am letting the mobo control the fan
