Good 2.1/5.1 set..

Can anyone recommend me a GOOD set of speakers for use on an X-Fi XM with LM4562MA op-amps ? Budget would be around €100 but I'll take quite a margin.
I just want the best quality (not necessarily loud, but capable of immersive movie-style sound at the very least) speakers one could find for such money, and preferably 5.1 or similar, as I'm not too fond of only having sound in the front.

I've had a set of slightly modified Creative Inspire T6100 speakers (just the satellites gutted and fitted with slightly warmer-sounding, beefier speakers) and they suited me fine for what they cost (like €50-60 at the time?) but now that the front right satellite has developed a slight crackle and the rear right one has fallen down and since has been virtually unusable, I really want something that'll sound noticeably better to take its place.

I know there should be better stuff out there, I just don't really know where to look for them because I've never bothered to really get into things like that..

Thanks in advance for your help/advice!

I know you mention 5.1, but I'd have to suggest a good set of 2.1 Swan M10's. They are amazing 2.1 speakers for the price.

I don't know about prices where you are, but the cheapest place I can find those at has them for €179. Now I know I said I'll take quite a margin, but that's a bit much

Don't you have a receiver?

Nope, card -> speakers. Also, note that the card obviously doesn't have optical audio ports, as it's an XtremeMusic, so that's a no-no as well.

I was able to test these and they sound great for a rather price friendly 2.1 setup. It's actually around $70. It has a solid base and the mids sound rich.

It seems there isn't anything good in terms of surround sound systems when talking about budgets between $80 and $250..

(Yes, I've made up my mind; I really do not want a 2-speaker system.)
