What's a good notebook computer to get?

Thread Starter
Hi.

I broke one of my cameras in South America.

My ladyfriend bought me a new camera, a Panasonic Lumix GH13 (the guy at the store "hacked" it).

The netbook I got isn't able to handle the video from the GH13 very well.

What is a good notebook computer to get?

Thank you,

Daniel Kemp

I have to Agree with Wesker..You need to fill the information, in that link he has or atleast give more information

Asking "what is a good Notebook"? is the same question as if i asked "what is a good car?

Too generic to help ya......

Might want to wait till Q3, July-Sept. ( most likely July) and see how the Llano APU's are priced.

Wesker.
Thanks Wesker.

What is your maximum budget? Around $1,500 is what my uncle will pay.

What country are you in? Right now, South Korea.

What will be the uses of this laptop? Surfing the Internet, editing some video.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you? No.

What screen size do you require? Around 15 inches.

What screen resolution do you require? One that makes it easy to video edit.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay? New.

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet) I don't care.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings? I don't really play games.

What operating system do you need? (if any) Windows or Apple.

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.) I don't care.

How much hard drive space do you need? Enough to hold video from a Panasonic Lumix GH13.

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.) No.

Is there anything else we need to know? Thanks.

I would like to have something right now. If those AMD's are better, then I can upgrade.

No reason to spend $1500 if the man doesn't need anything more than a computer for surfing the web.

Check around the webs. Ebay is a good place to start. You can usually find a few nice deals there. Don't go higher than around $750-$800 though. There's no need.
