Go with the 590's .

I'm 100% ANTI Zotac. You'll overclock FAR past those stock frequencies anyways. Think of cost and what you'll get in warranty support. EVGA rocks and I doubt Zotac can hold a candle.

but if I take gtx 590 I will not have enough VRAM to max out games at 1400p or 1600p

I would take the Zotac over the EVGA in this case for one thing only... better cooler on the Zotac. The Zotac is using the Zalman VF3000 cooler on it versus the EVGA which is still using the ever so noisy and inefficient reference blower on it.

Try and look up the performance of the VF3000 to believe. If there is one EVGA card I would get in the 580 variant it would be this:

Try and also check out the Gigabyte windforce which has three fans on the cooler, it's at par or even better than the lightning series from MSI. Not sure if these two come in the 3GB model though.

My favorite though would probably be the Phantom model from gainward. It also comes in the 3GB model and in the last test of 580's the phantom was the best cooler they've tested out of the lot (OC'd pretty well too with that specific cooler). Plus it looks very pretty!

Some reviews of the zotac amp2 if you haven't seen them already:

Looks to me like the amp2 will be quieter and cooler, as the previous poster suggested.

Amp2 for sure. Their is no way the stock EVGA will outperform it. Plus, the AMP2 is actually cheaper!

Although I'm talking 480's here, they are close enough to the 580 to relate to. I have one of each, an EVGA and a Zotac AMP with the Zalman VF3000F cooler, on both cards.
<see avatar

Do note that Zotac also has a lifetime warranty, and they are apparently very big in Europe, as well as gaining a lot of ground in the US. I also tended to support EVGA more than the other brands over the past few years, but so far this Zotac card has been excellent. Main difference between the EVGA and Zotac AMP2 version is the inclusion of the Zalman VF3000F cooler with the Zotac. The coolers alone are around 70 bucks at most retailers, so there is a cost savings there.
