Thread Starter
I've found a truly epic computer. 13.1 inch, but it does not have any DVD drive, so I'm debating wether to buy a USB optical drive.
Do any of you guys know anything about USB optical drives?
I'm wondering wether they can do the excact same as a normal ones, install games etc...

Thanks!

EDIT: Here's an example http://www.overstock.com/Electronics...3/product.html

Yes, they are the exact same as internal ones.

Only restriction is that some laptop BIOS (namely older ones) are locked down and do not allow booting from anything but specific devices. Toshiba does this with some of theirs, and I think some older Thinkpads do too. I can confirm that Dell's Latitude line does not have this problem, as I have booted using external CD ROM drives.

What is the computer?
