More proof that half of gamers cannot distinguish between masterfully crafted textures, and blurry piles of barf.

Also, does NO ONE ELSE think there's something deeply wrong with EA's business model, here?

They are absolutely sure that this content is awesome and should be part of everyone's BF3 experience, but instead of aiming to include it at launch in everyone's copy, they allocate it for paid DLC, and incentivize preorders with it.

Think about it, please. They are pitching their "expansion pack" on you BEFORE THE NEW GAME IS EVEN RELEASED. Even BC2's Vietnam was announced and released well after the original game.

I'm tired of this crap.

I'll wait till it's on steam for half price. Battlefield never really appealed to me as I preferred or prefer competitive arena type maps.

Looks good and should be much better than BFBC2 (console port) graphically.

Yep its a pretty lame move, I can see the marketing potential with them wanting pre orders and all, but still..

Hopefully D2D has some coupon code, and it can be activated on Steam, that is probably the best bet for a nice price on launch.

Then don't buy it, vote with your wallet not empty words on the internet.

People said the same thing before MW2 came out, saying they wouldn't buy it, look what happened.

zero-day-DLC and no flame? Oh yeah, this is Battlefield/DICE..
I think I'm gonna wait for a nice Steam sale on the game just like I did with Bad Company 2 (hell yeah, 5€). Good luck anyways for a good game, DICE.

So many fond memories of me getting owned... Lol.

See how games are now? They make the expansions before the game is even released! That kinda sickens me. What happened to expansions 2 years down the road to keep a game alive....

You get it as a download copy.
You make a user, and then you can get the download trough the ea download program.
it is released at the release date.

Yes, while I agree that Day 1 DLC is BS, this isn't "new" content, it's old BF2 maps. If you want this maps, you've probably played BF2, and if you had, then you probably would like this game enough to drop $5 for a pre-order.

These maps are free if you pre-order right?

I find it funny people are complaining about this. If you want the map, pre-order it.

You don't have to pre-order it RIGHT NOW. Do it when it's close to release time or when funds are available.

Honestly, if you're a PC gamer and don't plan on pre-ordering BF3 then I don't know what to tell you.

As for that screenshot...
