I would be surprised if they accepted loss less formats.

I'd need nonsense amounts of storage to archive everything to FLAC, and the amount of streaming I'd need to do to listen to as much music as I usually do would be absurd. I think most people have collections of low bitrate MP3.

Ya no way I'll do everything in FLAC. I'll just get a 8GB SDHC for my phone, 192 CBR and sounds great

So they support FLAC, but transcode to 320kbps MP3.

Seems dumb to upload a FLAC to have it downconverted, but at least they support it.

Oh come on at least have playback support for .ogg google

"* FLAC files are transcoded to 320kbps mp3"
Then what's the point to uploading flac then lol
post #29 of 76
320 bit rate .flac is supported.

I am all for this. I hope you guys aren't complaining about free cloud space for your music....

When you have to pay for the service and they don't change its capabilities then complain all you want

flac getting converted to 320 mp3 is a bit silly, but its at least convenient for people like me with 40 or so GB of FLAC who don't want to spend all year converting it to mp3s themselves just to upload it...
