Question about eVGA RMA

Thread Starter
First off, if this is in the wrong section, mods please move it appropriately.

So here is my dilemma. I bought a used eVGA video card off someone else. The card currently needs to be RMA'ed.

The previous owner registered the card to his name, but I called eVGA and they brushed it off as a mistake, and let me register the card under my name.

However, they are asking for a copy of the original purchase invoice, which the seller sent me (but it has his name on it).

Should I just send eVGA that invoice?

Any other suggestions on what I should do?

If it makes any difference, the card has already been RMA'ed once by the previous owner.

Thanks for your help

Just send them the invoice and hope for the best. How were they able to 'brush it off as a mistake'?

Worst case scenario is contact the seller, send the card back to him with a check to cover any shipping and have it done through him. As long as he doesn't mind that is.

That's the only downside to eVGA cards, they have a lifetime warranty, but it's non-transferable.

Well, I buy EVGA cards with the intent on keeping it or maybe passing it on to a family member. This is why I'm probably always going to buy EVGA from now on. MSI Lightning might make me change my mind though if the price is right.

Send them the reciept as suggested, what's to say someone else didn't buy the card for you as a gift?

The other owner may have already unregistered it already most likely for them to have accepted it as a mistake. If not he should do it for you. It's a simple click of a button under his account with them under 'edit products'.

That's was great of EVGA to accept it as a mistake when they knew better. A true testement to their great customer service.

Upload that reciept within 30 days however from when they registered it to you. BTW what card was it? I'm curious.
