VTT Voltage Questions

Thread Starter
Greetings,

I'm using the Lynnfield Core i5 760
I have read many posts and guides about OCing this chip. I'm only going for a light OC on it. Trying out 180BCLK. I'm getting alot of locking up and instability at 180BCLK. From what I have read adjusting the VTT voltage should help with this. I'm not sure what it would take but I'm currently just above 1.3v. Is this normal? It seems to be high to me but this is my first crack at this chip.

Considering you have only 1333Mhz ram and the bclck of 180 and 4x2Gb ram, id use no more than 1.35v VTT. If you got 4x2Gb ram you should need less.

Does it pass the stress tests? What BSOD codes do you get? What are your other settings. You might not even need 1.30v VTT.

I'd try with both 1.25v and 1.35v, the sweetspot should be in between that. If it's still unstable, start looking at other voltages.
