what's a good intake fan for my antec 300?

Thread Starter
right now i just have the two on the back and the top exhausting, i'd like to get one intake for the front to get some air flow going though. Suggestions?
There's room for two fans in the front bays on an A300.

Depends on what kind of CFM / Noise you want. Yate loons are fantastic for the price, but if you really want quietness then you're talking $10-20 per fan.

The lol thing is:
1. I don`t need any new fans for my A300. There is enough airflow and these thngs are running on low.
2. I coudn`t use any cause the cables of my extrafan is to short and i`m to lazy to extend them.

Anyway what should they be?
Quiet?
Noctua NF-S12B ULN
Sharkoon Silent Eagle
or the
Yate loons mentoined above.
Or something with wicked airflow?
Delta FFB1212EHE
Scythe S-Flex SFF21G / Ultra Kaze DFS123812L-2000
Feser Triebwerk TK-122
or a bit lower
Be Quiet Silent Wings good noise to airflow ratio

You have 2 fans exhausting out the back of an Antec 300??

Get some Yate Loons or Scythe Slipstreams, and you should be good to go.

Depends which Slipstreams. I had a 1600RPM one and it was annoyingly loud compared even to my CoolerMaster R4 (LED). And that's saying something.

Get some Gentle Typhoons OP. Best fans for noise/performance. There's currently a group buy for 2150 RPM Gentle Typhoons if you're interested. I would link it but I don't have time to find it as I'm trying to write a paper at the same time.

I have a slipstream in the front of mine, it's the quietest of my fans(110cfm model)
my other fans are all 100+cfm 38mm fans

and R4's make zero noticeable noise if you want low cfm fans. but they don't move dick for air IMO

I must have hyper sensitive hearing then. The 1600RPM Slipstream was definitely louder than my R4. Both of which produced an annoying buzzing noise.

Got Gentle Typhoons (5 AP-14s and 1 AP-15) and they are still noticeable, but much better than the R4 and Slipstream. As for CFM if you have set up your fans properly you don't need turbines as case fans. In some cases there is no need for super CFM noise makers. You just have to make sure that you have proper airflow and that there is no other way to cool your components.

Get whatever you want OP. Just make sure you get them at a brick and mortar store such as Microcenter so that you can return them if they're too loud.

I went thru a Yate Loon phase but stopped using them after getting fakes a couple times. The best Yates come from Petra's Tech shop in my experience. Best bang for the buck for me has been Xigmateks. Currently I am using XLF-F1254s (white LED translucent black frame)and XSF-F1252s (all black no LEDs). Surprisingly quiet and decent flowing fan that runs around $12 for the LED one and about $9 (USD) for the plain black.

I can't hear my R4 at all then again I wouldn't use it for anything other then a HTPC, it doesn't move enough CFM for my tastes

Like I said everything in my case is 100+cfm so loud doesn't bother me with my fan controller.

Well then they're not still 100CFM fans, are they?
