Screen loses signal then computer resets while playing Crysis

Thread Starter
Hey,
So I bought the Crysis pack on steam, but while playing it my system will either shrink the game randomly and I wont be able to maximize it, or the screen will cut out and then the system will reset.

It's definitely not a power issue or anything, but this hasn't happened in any other games.

Sounds like a GPU overclock instability, have you overclocked your graphics card(s)?

I concur. Try dropping your GPU's to stock speeds, and see if you still have the issue.

Well a game crashing and then your system resetting is instability, period. Hardware or software, something is causing it.

Check EventViewer and go to Windows Logs>Application. Does it show any errors around the time of the crash/reset?

You can also try to update the drivers on your vid card. I had this issue while playing certain games on ATI's drivers about 4 months ago. Waited for a stable driver and problem went away. Just make sure to use something like Driver Sweeper to rid of the old drivers completely before installing new ones.

Alright, I'll try out the latest non-beta driver.
