Brand Name LG
Product Series PW350
Product Model 42PW350
Product Name 42PW350 Plasma TV
Product Type Plasma TV

Standard Refresh Rate 60 Hz
Frame Refresh Rate 600 Hz
Maximum Resolution 1024 x 768
Dynamic Contrast Ratio 3000000:1

now the standard refresh is not true 120hz but the frame refresh is 600hz how does this happen and explain to me if and why i can't use 3d vision on this
post #2 of 8
Because its 60hz. The 600 is breaking the screen into 10 sections and pretty much marketing.

plasmas operative differently in terms of the onboard refresh rate and frame interpolation and other garbage... long story short, 60hz is the only thing you need to pay attention to. Its just like any other monitor.

Keep in mind, with all the extra processing thats going on with TV's (maybe not plasmas, but definitely LED/LCD), you probably wont want to use one for a computer display that isnt going to be dedicated to playing movies. Nasty input lag and pixel pitch makes the picture mediocre at best at 1080p.

You can do 3d gaming on a 3d plasma. I do on my panny 50st30. Using the tvs glasses no need for vision. I did buy nvidia 3dtv play.

i dont know much about dlps but they seem to be out of date and will lack in performance compared to LCDs and PLASMAs. It really sucks but these days many electronic specs are lies and dont mean anything. on of those are the refresh rates of tvs : Plasmas claim to be 600hz and LCDs are 120, 240 and 480hz but these are just too fool people into buying a expensive tv. they are ALL 60hz so ur only hope is to buy a 3d certified TV. if you are looking into the 1000$ range. there are many 50 inch tv available look at this:
