Don't rely on coretemp to tell voltage. It will only tell VID (which is what tells the AMD driver how much voltage offset from actual BIOS voltage default is needed).

Too bad it won't go down. Sometimes it'll let you type it in, sometimes you're stuck. My Asus 785G board wanted a default of about 1.48v when I first put it together; needless to say I adjusted it down, especially since at stock clock it's stable at 1.24v.

At first I had to artificially set the voltage low (about .13v lower than what I was aiming for) but a BIOS update corrected the issue.

Checked and yes it is correct, 1.5 at standard seems quite high, Maybe new CPU needed?

Also what site would be best to update bios? I have not done this since i got the PC in jul 2009.
