It's just SOMETHING, somewhere in your system, is bottlenecking the GPU core itself, because that is where the GPU usage is calculated from.

And what it is could be a lot of things: excessive texture swapping, memory bus could be saturated, vram is at capacity, or it could really just be a straight-up CPU bottleneck, even at only 40% total usage.

Who knows, maybe in this ONE gaming scenario, the PCI-Ex bandwidth can even be getting tapped out, and no-one ever noticed because there's no benchmark that uses that level.

And, it could just be a driver coding issue with this part of this game, too. Maybe bad coding is causing a flood of cache misses. Maybe too many threads are being generated simultaneously, and the thread scheduler is getting backed up.

So many possibilities, really.

At least if you're not the only one, you should be able to accept it and move on. You are NOT always gonig to get 99% gpu usage, even on the toughest graphical parts.

You might try some lowering some settings if it's unplayable ... 4xAA instead of 16xAA ... it just might help
yea its probably only happen in this game , but when i ran benchmark tool , i got around 75-80fps ........ so i think proabably this game probably not optimize well with dual gpu

this game is just terribly coded, and it initially pissed me off when everyone was scrambling to build a new pc to "run crysis" , from core 2 quad @ 3ghz, to core i7

it shows that even today the game isn't a technological peak anymore, it's just a terribly optimized game, with a semi mediocre engine, giving you meager fps with current gen graphic cards at high resolution

thank god i only paid 4 bucks for the crysis series

i still can't see all the greatness of this game after all the years its been out, and finally beating crysis and warhead over the weekend, it just seemed like another fps alien game to me.

graphics were okay, the only thing i appreciated was the water refractions

true, for those people who had sli setup said their gpu both can stay 99%all the time in crysis or crysiswarhead , its highly to be doubt , cuz benchmark and gameplay r totally different in this game
