Some watercooling advice for HAF 932

Thread Starter
Looking to add a loop to the sig rig so I can bring my CPU temps down and hopefully get a higher OC out of the 950. It is stable at 4.0ghz right now on an H50 push/pull. I also want to put a block on the GTX470 so I can add a GTX470 in the future without heat issues. So I'm looking for a loop to cool CPU and have room for dual GPU in the future. Also, I don't want high RPM, high noise fans. From what I have read here and on the web, this is what I was thinking:

EK supreme HF block
EK GTX 470 GPU block
xspc pump/reservoir combo 5.25" bay or swiftech mpc655 with reservoir
thermochill pa 120.3 360 rad or equivalent
3 times scythe gentle typhoon ap-15 fans

Is one 360 rad enough to cool cpu and eventually two cards? will this type of cooling significantly increase OC potential?

Thanks.

A single 360 for two cards might be pushing it, definitely get a deep one, something like a RX360, but you have a great case for liquid cooling.

For that much heat I would be looking at another 120mm, though that's no problem.

I also would recommend getting a custom build, you could get a rasa kit, but I think you'd find the pump inadequate and you'll be upgrading it a load anyway. You're better off getting a really good loop from the start imo.

I'm gonna go with Crabid on the RX360. It fits into the HAF 932 perfect (I know from experience). They're a lot deeper thus have a lot higher heat capacity. You'll need something like that to get decent temperatures with those cards.

i have the same case and i'm using the top for a 360 rad and the back fan spot for a 140 rad and if you want you can even add a 120rad on the bottom to help cool. but with my 360 and 140 it cools my cpu and 2 5870's great but the 470's do produce more heat. i think you'd be good with a deep 360 and a 120 or a 140 in the back. hope this helps

With some modding you can fit a 360 in the top of the case and another one in the back that would be nice WC for your Rig with SLI, a Single 360 will work for stock speeds (CPU + 470) i doubt you would get decent temps if you overclock

another possibility is mounting a 249 on the side panel horizontal or mount a phoba 480 rad externally with fans as a intake
