I love Linux. I install Ubuntu on every major release and I explore other distros as well occasionally.

I want to ultimately move to 100% Linux. Linux Desktop, Linux Laptop (I love Linux on laptop), Linux HTPC, Linux Home Media Server. Hell I use it on the servers I rent out for hosting.

Even my Samsung Captivate with Android is running Linux.

If Steam starts to support Linux, I'll probably jump the Windows ship, but only if the AMD GPU drivers are good enough, which would be stupid if they didn't start making good ones after Valve starts supporting the Linux platform.

I mean Linux is not that far away from Mac OS X market share and it uses OpenGL like OS X does, it can't be that hard to support it after you make a Mac Client.

I vote for "NO WAY!!"

Developing countries will continue to all bootleg Windows and MS will continue to let the bootlegging slide in places like China, India, and Brasil because... at least they are using Windows.

I spend a lot of time in China for my job and no one knows squat about computers there (even the people in their 20's are hopeless.) We have one IT consultant that can manage a simple Windows network... Most people don't own computers; the rest can't figure out anything more advanced than changing their desktop wallpapers. Besides the total lack of knowledge the hardware they run is total crap and they usually have XP (bootlegged ofc running other crappy bootlegged programs.) Overall the developing world is lagged behind in computer knowledge.

Using your example of China, the Chinese government reportedly wants "technological independence" and is using the Loongson MIPS CPU and a custom Linux distro, you can bet the Chinese government will try their hardest to get most users off Windows and onto a Loongson CPU and Linux.

It's true, they really don't like being dependent on us. They want everyone to stop using windows. It's a good thing IMO, you don't want a world dominated operating system.

Exactly, Russia is the same and some of the countries from the EU are trying to let technology progress faster and move people to Linux/OS X. (Eg. Spain, Germany)

Yeah, people don't realize that this isn't a light question. There are serious concerns with the idea of having a company design the operating systems for the world. The amount of power you are pushing right there is... Well it's simply wrong. Now, if the entire world used an open sourced operating system I wouldn't have a problem. You can build it yourself, you have the control.
