when u put the thermal paste on it is best to draw a star like so.. * , with thin lines directly on top of the cpu, and check if your waterblock is on tight and alternate between screws while tightening

that factory paste is design for stock cooler. AS5 is not going to give you good results with stock cooler. it required hot and cold circle to settle in.
