change fan on power supply (hx1000)

Thread Starter
can anyone tell me if it is safe to replace the fan on an hx1000?

Specifically wondering if the fan controller is going to freak out because my replacement fan pulls only .4 amps while the stock fan pulls .7

(Not worried about it over heating) btw just the electronics aspect of it.

Well I am going to try it with a 50ohm resistor in parallel with my replacement fan,
Should work out pretty close to the stock fans current at 12v's atleast that way.
