What 460 do you currently have? and what temps do you see under load and gaming?

Again, I am not really worried about them overheating, I would just like to keep the temps lower as the top card likes to get a little warmer, and my room temp gets warmer after long gaming sessions. Under load they don't get much hotter than 70-75C, and idle they don't get hotter than 35C. I'd just like to lower those a bit.

Main reason I wan't to do this is more as a project and for looks. Little bit lower temps for when I decide to overclock is more a bonus than anything.

And I have nVidia's reference 460's.

Sweet build, man, it looks very sexy. I am trying to avoid an external rad, personally, but the way you got it on the outside floating off the case itself was perfect, man.

Here is the block that I plan to install on my 460's:http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11857/ex-blc-817/EK_GeForce_460_GTX_VGA_Liquid_Cooling_Block_-_Nickel_EK-FC460_GTX_-_Nickel_Hot_Item.html?tl=g30c311s1285

I know a lot of people say that coloring the coolant is a bad idea, but I like the idea of being able to see the green liquid flowing through the blocks, considering my theme is green/black.

Yeah, everyone suggests distilled water, so I am going to look to either just use the distilled water and be happy with it, or see what the best way to color the water will be...that and I also want to use the backplates:

I know you said you don't want to bother with your cpu for now, but honestly getting the xspc kit and then adding gpu water blocks will be the easiest way to do it. Like you said you're doing it for looks, and leaving the cpu out will look odd.

If you can fit a 360 up top (and it looks like you can, depending on the size of those fans), I would get the rx360 kit for ~$200, and then get 2 xspc razor blocks for $60-70 each. In addition you may want to buy ~8ft of replacement tubing as thetubing in the kit is pretty inflexible. Then add 2 G1/4 1/2" barbs, and one G1/4 sli connector and you should be done. Then upgrade the fans to AP-15's later if you want to.

I would also consider repainting your case wink.gif You might be able to pick up a good deal on 2nd hand EK waterblocks for 460's too that would match the backplates well.

You think that RX360 would be perfectly fine to cool the CPU and both GPU's without any issue with the water getting too hot?

And hey, I like my color scheme right now...;P

Didn't you say temps weren't really the issue here?

I doubt you'll need more than a triple for 460s and a CPU.

But if temps really don't matter I can't see them being any higher than they are now on air. But that's only if you're really saturating the radiator.

And also stay far away from coolant, like the plague. Which coincidentally the inside of your blocks will look like after a few months of coolant. tongue.gif

Get some green tubing and call it a day. It's not worth the hassle to have to clean the blocks every month. Just use distilled and colored tubing. smile.gif

Yeah, I prefer lower temps. I am not trying to decrease my temps 20C, but I would like them to decrease a bit so my room isn't as warm, but yeah, its not my primary reason for doing this...lol. As long as my temps don't increase, I can always add some kind of radiator in those 4 5.25 bays I have still open.
