TES: Oblivion Best Graphic mods

Thread Starter
I was wondering if anyone knows any mods for Oblivion that really bring out the graphics.

One I heard was good is "Quarl Texture Pack 3". I'm currently downloading it but its taking a while because is 1.7GB downloading at 184KB/s (stupid mirror).

So is there any other "must have" texture mods? I want to play through the game again but with better graphics more suitable for 1080P.

EDIT: i see there is no armor modifications done on the Quarl texture pack. would be nice to see some decent armor mods that are not unrealistic looking for the time period the game is set in.

Not sure of any armor texture mods, but quarl's is the best texture pack, as long as your computer can handle it. Your's should just fine though

Quarl textures look better but wasnt as good as I expected. I'll still keep it because it's better than nothing.

I'm looking for mods that have to do with better foliage, armor, and view distance quality. Anyone know of any mods that make these textures look better? I prefer armor that still keeps to the original appearance, but is more detailed, shiny, ect...

If anyone knows any good aditional mods please post them.
I have been looking for a while on google/youtube now.

If I remember correctly, Oblivion does not have any Anisotropic Filtering (in game menus or ini file edit). You'll have to force AF on in CCC. See if that helps a bit.

the natural environments mod is great for improving foliage. I prefer the darker nights version with the brighter torches mod (both included in the mod in a separate folder)

it makes torches necessary to do anything in caves or at night which I feel adds a lot of realism without making it unplayable as some realism mods did for me.
