to those who say wait..... i disagree. not to be rude but, all things considered x58 chip set is mature and there are still awesome boards being made to support the chip set. while sandy bridge in its own right is a very powerful platform it is still in its infancy and there are many problems that plague it. consider if this is true with either the new amd or Intel platform coming out. Plus the fact that Intel likes to switch processor line ups all the time like they did with the 1366 series. now is the best time to buy a 1366 series computer i believe. the prices are down and the performance is still outstanding. though i would personally take a quad core over a hex core unless your going to actually use all six. the 975 is a beast! and can be had for 800 or 700 new. i found mine on eBay for 450 new. plus if you have that kind of money to throw around on a computer then all things considered it really shouldn't bother you to build now and then wait for mid cycle through either the amd or Intels new chip set as by then all the kinks should be knocked out of there chip sets. thats just my advice but meh everyone has there own opinion and thats all they are but hope it helps.
