I'm getting impatient, but I've lasted 5 months since the SB rage, so what's another 4-5 weeks to build my 2nd rig?

If the 8 core BD as much as matches the 2600K, then I'll build BD for sure, just to support the little guy.

I just wish we had some benchmarks, that's what's killing me!

We had SB benchmarks like 4 months ahead of time.

I agree that it does remain to be seen how good BD performs. As I see it, BD must be faster clock for clock then Nehalam because that arch has been out for over 2 years. AMD has no excuse if they miss that performance mark.

I can forgive them for not catching all the way up to Sandy, but if the IPC is still slower than Intel's 2 year old tech then "AMD guy" or otherwise I will be buying a 2500K.

So true. If BD doesn't live up or come close to the hype, it'll be a 2600K for my 2nd rig. And then an IB upgrade for my current rig.

Like I said before though, if they're bringing the FX series back, there better be a reason for that! wink.gif I need a good reason to build an AMD rig again, my current rig started off as a 1090T.

Oh, and Your Avatar? Nah, I had never noticed it before. tongue.gif

This is clearly a fake one, the cpu z is showing one core and one thread, anyone that thinks this is real is an intel fanboy or a troll.

This is extremely likely to be a low power X6 Phenom II chip. Maybe a prototype for laptops or smaller form factor (vs atom?) I'm going with laptops at the moment.

That or perhaps immature hardware not being taken advantage of.

EDIT:

Also, my post = better than those calling fake. Looks pretty damn legit me.

Well I guess if its this good on "one" core as the screen shots say. We got a WINNER!!!!

lol, Well, I guess we see the true fanbois com to polay! I for one don't see this as legit, however AMD has yet to show themselves in the high end market. I doubt very much that the hype is overcompensating. We will see.

We care about bulldozer not Phenom II. You do realize that the name "Phenom" has been replaced by "FX" for bulldozer, right?

I just pulled that from a review site. The source is included. What is fake about it?

Just dosent seem like an AMD cpu could beat an i7 since i7s have more thread.

Task manager in screenshot shows 6 threads. It might be that CPU-z is not able to recognise bulldozer correctly

Also, there are two scores of cinebench. One is single thread score and other for multi-thread. If bulldozer was using 1 core, then the score should be identical in both tests.
