[Softpedia]More AMD Bulldozer Benchmarks Surface - Page 7

Another day, another fake BD benchmark. At this point I'm not inclined to believe anything until it comes straight from the horses mouth.

Don't worry, seen this before on a different site. They discovered that it was idling and was stuck there, hence the piss poor performance. Also i think only one core was active aswell.

1core running 800MHZ.CPU-z will still not pick readings up properly for this chip as ES,and this was probably done before that problem was ironed out.

Why does CPU-Z say "1-Core , 1-Thread"? I smell a rat...

Didn't you hear, single core is the new 8-core.

These results were said to be with a buggy chip. I saw these a few days ago but didn't post them because of that reason.

Look at these leaked SB results :

Nothing like today's results. I'm happy to wait and see!
Engineering samples working as incomplete samples rather than at full performance like you'd expect from a retail chip?

Quite a concept you have there, too bad more people don't understand.

It could be initials of the bencher and the 12th bench he's done this month? I don't even know what you're talking about in the second sentence. Perhaps it is random letters as breaking NDAs can sometimes be troublesome.

It couldn't be missing instruction sets or a damaged core or anything. It is only a engineering sample.

I'm not trying to prove these benchmarks by any means. I just think that if you're going to try and disprove something, at least choose a topic you're actually informed about. It's almost too easy to point out someone's lack of knowledge on the subject and discredit their opinion.

Does it matter if it was shopped, at idle, had a damaged core, or whatever else? My point was (and has been from the first page when I posted the phenom x6 benchmarks) that...

Since it is slower than AMD's current offerings then it is a fake (use a different word if you like) benchmark as it fails to offer insight into the performance of the CPU to be released in June. Many others besides myself are of the same opinion.

I never offered a reason as to why it was slower because I feel that is not relevant.
