Lenovo x120e - best fusion netbook out right now?

Thread Starter
So I'm going to college and I'm probably going to buy a netbook
I'm trying to buy one of the AMD Fusion netbooks
and so far Lenovo x120e looks the best... (so thin and professional looking)
I know there are tons of brans out there (HP, Acer, Asus, Sony, MSI...etc)

Main things I'm looking for are
- Portability (I really don't want a bulky netbook)
- BATTERY LIFE !!! (I want a fusion netbook that has the longest battery life possible lol... I think lenovo x120e's battery life is decent but not great)

Screen size doesn't really matter and I want at least 2gb RAM.. so...

any suggestions guys? or should I just buy the lenovo x120e?

Lenovo have fantastic build quality, and their keyboards are renowned as some of the best. Honestly, you won't regret buying that. There's always the option of waiting out through the summer, unless you're doing college during the summer.

HP DM1z(similar pricing to Lenovo) and SONY YB (most expensive AMD Fusion Netbook I've seen so far) are also available. Lenovo probably looks the most professional in my opinion. Sony might be the thinnest, but battery is lacking from what I heard since it uses a smaller battery.

Note that Lenovo has 2 Fusion Netbook I've seen so far, X120 and S205.

S205 deal = http://liliputing.com/2011/05/deal-a...p-for-399.html

HP DM1 = http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Pav...0dm1&cp=1&lp=1

I know MSI has a Fusion one also, but not sure if it is released yet.

I'd say it is the best.

Maybe a little more expensive, but I would definitely spend a little more to get the Lenovo if nothing else then for the quality.

How about the Acer Iconia? It's a tablet, but it comes with a keyboard dock. It's running Windows 7 with AMD Fusion, C-50 1.0Ghz dual core and Radeon 6250.

FYI, there is a roadmap that shows a revision coming later with an E-300 and E-450 Fusion. So if you don't have to buy yet maybe wait a bit. Otherwise, I like the Lenovo too, I wish I needed one. The dmz1 is nice but I've read the fan can be very annoying. $500 price for any of these is too much.

any netbook with AMD Fusion is going to perform roughly the same. Just comes down to the looks of it that you prefer and extra features it has. I wish the AMD Fusion Lenovo, HP, and Sony netbooks had usb 3.0.

I just got an x120e this week, and I'm loving it. You won't be disappointed. I never thought I'd enjoy using a laptop, but I do thanks to the Trackpoint.

Also, I can't even find any other Fusion laptops in stock anywhere. I see the dm1z on Amazon, but it's actually more expensive than the x120e. You can get the fully loaded x120e at Newegg for $485.
