Any games like Star Trek Bridge Commanader, or a good SW combat flight sim - Page 2

Anyone remember Dominion Wars? God, was that the worst Star Trek game ever...

I've tried getting BC to run in widescreen for the past few years, off and on, and I could never get it.

Star Trek Legacy's replay value is pretty horrible, but for $5 (or less) it's ok for the single player (you could never really play it online as it was always broken on Windows Vista and Seven).

I still have XvsT sitting on my desk. I'm tempted to just install it and see if it lives up to the hype of what I remember from my childhood.

The newest ST game like that is legacy iirc but it's completely crap.

I played the ballsack out of SFCIII! I loved that game but Activision gave it no love whatsoever after the first patch... So sad. If they every have another ST game like that, I'm in like Flint. A Dominion War game would be BA as well... I love the Dominion.

Activision lost the rights to the Star Trek games (as they sued Paramount for destroying the profitability of the Star Trek franchise). Hence why a good game never got the much needed patches it needed.

I never finished ST:EF2 last year due to reformats

I made to some level with you had to fire a deck gun type thing and several shuttles and a big ship

playing on hardest, that was tough, never made it past there

I should also reinstall it and finish it, before it looks too old

EF2 doesnt run right on DX11 cards, its an issue with OpenGL 1.3 support with the latest drivers for the DX11 cards. You have to change the exe to quake3.exe so the drivers use the Quake3 work arounds to properly support OpenGL 1.3

We do need a good, solid ST game sometime in future. Something to really do the franchise justice!

STO came pretty close to me for being almost perfect (on paper) but in reality felt a bit "empty".

Is it worth the cost though? I'm a casual gamer and don't have 394539487532485727235 hours to devote to a single game.
