ah snap! i the xine fix workd the sudo fix did too, but i really don't wanna populate the home folder... if you have time or a link i'd like the long fix pls, THANKS

Yeah, it's setting up your dvd drive as dvd1. it's probably because you removed the one drive, not sure.

ok i read up and found the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules but what do i change?

You can just delete them and reboot and it will redetect the drive.
