5770 Weird clocks?

Thread Starter
Hey all
I have the XFX 5770 XXX edition.
it is factory overclocked from 850 to 875MHz and memory speed was also overclocked.
Now I don't understand why in AMD Overdrive it says
Current Values
GPU Clock : 400MHz
Could anyone explain this to me?

is it displaying this at low graphic card usage times. My nvidia card does this to save energy when i just watch movies or browse the web. I thought some thing was wrong so i opened cpuz and started a game on second screen. the clock speeds when up as soon as the game started back to overclock speeds.

its called throttling. When the card is not under heavy use it lowers the clock speeds of the Core and Memory. Are you using the latest drivers?

once i switched to 11.4 it started to notice the screen twitch slightly when the card changed the clocks on me.
