I have a Motherboard which is a M4A78-VM it supports AM3 CPUs, I would like to know if this Motherboard supports Phenom x6 CPUs

Yours. But I strongly advise *against* overclocking before you get another mobo.

This one supports 125W on 3+1 phases, without heatsinks. Your CPU already is 125W.
As you OC it raises its power consumption, and 3+1 unsinked are very likely to catch fire if mistreated.

If you decide to stay stock, I also suggest you look to some guides for undervolting - I've always had great results with undervolting.
+it relieves the MOSFETs of the intensive load.

Yes it does ,but it's not a good idea with that board,for reasons already stated.
