Updated with data package prices, thanks h4rdcor3

Woohoo... a netbook you can rent. Interesting.

Netflix and Hulu support will be available right out of the box for the pair of new Chromebooks -- one from Samsung and one from Acer. An improved file manager has also been added to the upcoming version of Chrome OS, plus offline versions of Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs -- all will be made available for Chromebook users this summer.

at $220 / year, and I've had mine for 2 years now... that's kind of expensive.

20 bucks a month, 12 months, $240 bucks, eh.... I think I'm better off doing a down payment than renting

Does that mean the $20 /m could cover subscriptions to those 2 services as well?

Guessing probably not,but if that were the case it'd be a good deal I think.

If it comes with the subscriptions, then thats actually a pretty good deal. If not, 240/yr for a netbook is too pricey unless you're gonna get an upgrade every 6 months or year but even then.

Does that come with 3g?

To all you guys who think this is a bad deal, it comes with free hardware upgrades included in the price, so you never have to buy another laptop again.
